For the Eyes, Ears und Laugh Muscles

American Flair for Germany’s Entertainment!

From upbeat startup comedies to dark genre blends, I love breaking down the narrow barriers of German entertainment. Let’s think of something together – for a podcast, TV show or movie!

We’re all in the same boat. Unfortunately, the boat has sprung a leak and one of you needs to get out.

Screenplays & Storytelling

Whether it’s coming up with a scary thriller, writing a new sitcom, or simply improving a pitch deck, things get more creative, snappy, and fun with me in the writers’ room! I love distilling complex ideas into a tight logline, breaking down an hours-long season into individual scenes, and finally conjuring up the perfect script for your target audience.

Who, what, and why?!

Here’s why I’m like this!

Until 2009, I grew up near Palo Alto, California, surrounded by big-bearded startup hipsters. If my parents hadn’t dragged me to Munich (and if hair would grow on my *upper* cheeks), I probably would have become one of them myself. But things turned out differently.

Starting in twelfth grade, I wrote and produced several short films with my classmate Robert Sladeczek, which we were able to trade in for small gold trophies at the German Multimedia Award mb21 and at the Munich Youth Film Festival. After school, we honed our storytelling craft with the help of Robert McKee, Tommy Krappweis and Steve Kaplan.

Soon, however, we realized that awards don’t pay the rent, and tried to peddle our film ideas as commercials. DriveNow and Hugendubel fell for it first – but luckily found that our funny videos actually sold their products better! So we were able to continue – and because the discreet envelopes full of cash were getting a little unwieldy, Robert and I founded our production company Peak State Entertainment GmbH in 2018.
